Motor oil for the Caliber
I have taken my 07 Caliber to the dealer for oil changes since I bought it new. I am thinking of taking it to my local quick lube place.
A freind advised against that, saying that when you change oil brands, leaks could begin. Sounds crazy to me? Anybody else have an opinion on this? Or, better yet, fact? |

Re: Motor oil for the Caliber
I've been having my 08 changed at quick lube places since I bought it. I switched to Mobile 1. No problems here. The problem your friend is telling you about is mythical in a new engine, or a well sealed engine. Just remember to keep with the recommended oil weight and you will be fine with whatever oil you decide to go with. You can't go wrong with synthetic oil though.
