Question How hard is a rear differential pinion seal to replace?

Hi, one of my first posts here.

I can change disk brakes, oil, water pumps, and a few other things. I've replaced mufflers, and relays... so, I'm not a mechanic, but I can fix stuff without having to have it redone. I usually use a Haynes manual for stuff I'm not familiar with.

I haven't spent a lot of time working on my Santa Fe, and it will be my first 4WD vehicle project. Am I going to kill myself with the pinion seal?

What are some gotchas?

Any other tips to working on my Santa Fe?

More thoughts:
2002 Hyundai Santa Fe, 4WD automatic
We do tow with this so I want things to be solid when I'm done with it.

It shouldn't be bad at all. I know the rear prop shaft is flanged/bolted at both ends on my 2008 Santa Fe, so that should be easy to drop and get out of the way. If you haven't signed up at hmaservice.com yet, do so. Everything Hyundai is in there.

Where could I buy the seal? I get some stuff from AutoZone, but they don't seem to have it. Napa?

I would imagine it's a Hyundai only part unless you could pull it intact and match it up with something. If your local Hyundai parts counter isn't an option, I'd search/buy it online.
