2002 300M O2 sensor codes 0132 and 0152

2002 300M ....ok..cleared the codes after installing both new sensors (Bosch 15705) both codes reappear after 30-45 sec's. Voltage again is reading high. Did the normal diagnostics, testing with the DRBIII Snap-On Modis, etc. (spraying 2+2...unplugging vacuum line to change the voltage values). The values would NOT change...very strange. Im beginning to suspect the PCM....waay too expensive...will try other things....at someones suggestions who has had the same problem. Wiggled wires....harness's etc....nothing helps. The harness that rides close to the steering in the back isnt chaffed or hasnt rubbed. Doesnt appear to be a wiring problem. PCM appears to be clean and all connections tight...altho i haven't removed it and checked for possible contamination. Im hoping someone here has experienced the same problem....might shed some light on other things to look for.TinMan...can you give me an e-mail at : RealityChek1956@wmconnect.com...i need some info on the other site. Otherwise....anyone who can offer any clues..please post something here....as always...much appreciated.

Re: 2002 300M O2 sensor codes 0132 and 0152

Yeah....figured this one out. Plain and simple.....Bosch didnt do their homework on their replacement oxygen sensors for this particular car. Bosch #15705 sensor heaters do NOT work correctly UNTIL the engine actually warms after approx 3 minutes..and then only after you clear the codes. Wait about 5 minutes later after turning the engine off..and the codes re-appear yet again. Clear the codes yet again.....warm the engine AGAIN.....the codes wont appear. Wait 5 minutes...again...they're on again....so on and so on. Anyone else with this problem.....you might want to stay away from the Bosch units. The original sensors for this car..and the new replacements from Chrysler...are made by NGK Spark Plugs (officially NTK for the sensors). I actually cleaned the original sensors re-installed them and no check engine light....no codes. The light may re-appear somewhere down the road..being the car has 114,000..and were the original culprit to begin with. I cleaned the sensors with a bench grinder brush...as i had nothing to lose anyway...to remove any oxidation or build up hoping they may work temporarily..and they did. I did get two new ones from Chrysler for when they're needed. Hope this helps anyone else with the same problems.

Re: 2002 300M O2 sensor codes 0132 and 0152

I have read many, many posts where the Bosch sensor has not performed well. I have seen NGK and Denso used as well as OEM. No complaints about the others.

The light will come on and reset itself randomly. It has done that for me as well for different problems. Disconnecting the battery and letting it sit for 15 - 20 minutes will clear the codes.
