I'm fairly certain the photos for the article were taken on the Nurburgring F1 track. The plate on the F50 appears to be German as well. The plate on the F1 appears to be a dummy plate to me.

I'd share more info from the article, but my German is a little weak right now. The article looks to be really wonderful though and the photos are all spectacular. For reference, it comes from the May/June 1997 issue of Auto Welt magazine.

One of the captions lists the high mirror option at 23,000£ for the record.

Re: New Pics of bright blue one with high mirrors.

Hello,

just a question probably already answered : what the plate of this one ? Is it french or english or ..?

I heard that the car would be parked in France, is it possible ?

Ciao
Phil

It is on an English plate at the moment, and not currently in France.

Figured I'd resurrect this thread since there are even newer photos of his car with his current iteration of 19" wheels. I believe he is still working on the proper wheels for the car. You certainly have to give the man credit for making every attempt at updating the car by using current technology tires, etc. He's one of the few owners out there that share their thoughts and well as DRIVE their cars.

Wow - those look great.

He's also a very brave man driving that car around on wet roads.
