HID Headlight

The left low beam (HID) light on my 2000 Acura 3.2 TL is giving me some problems. At times when I turn the lights on the left lamp won't come on but when I bump the headlight cover slightly the light will come on and stay on. Each succeeding cycling of the lights it will come on but then (especially first thing in the morning) when I turn the lights on, the left beam will not come on until I bump it slightly and then it will turn on and stay on. If I bump the cover repeatedly after that the light still stayed on. Could it be the bulb failing?

Re: HID Headlight

Changed out the HID bulbs on both sides and the passenger side still isn't working. I have tried 2 brand new bulbs. I don't want to have to replace the balast and ignitor just to troubleshoot the problem. Also, can anyone give me a quote as to how much it would cost to have the balast or ignitor replaced? Colorado Springs.

Re: HID Headlight

I ordered a pair of HID D2R bulbs thru Amazon. However, during the process of replacing the driver side bulb, I noticed what seemed to be a loose connection in the socket which I corrected and I did not have to replace the bulb. The new bulbs may come in handy in the future.
