My subs will only get so loud. What gives?

I thought I blew them, but now I'm second guessing. My 2 Kicker Comp VR's USED TO keep on getting loud as hell up until about volume 18 on my HU then it would level off. Now it levels out at volume 10. If I go past that, the bass doesn't get any louder. I can't think of anything. What gives?

The funny thing is, I never touched either of them. One day I got into my car, turned the volume up, and the bass didn't get any louder. I think one or both of my subs are blown or messed up. It's all I can think of.

I've got the same problem! The subs/amp work fine and normal then if I turn it up to 15 or so they totally stop. No sound or noise from the subs at all at any level above what it stopped at. If I turn it back down to like 12 it will turn back on and be normal. WTF? Dont know if it is the same promblem but sounds pretty similar. I also need some help.

I went to get my amp checked and turns out the 1200 watt is only putting out 300 watts because it's fried.

I hope thats the problem for me too. It is still under warranty by Pioneer!
