finding "jägermeister orange" color?

Would tamiya Acrylic orange work as "jägermeister orange"? or should it be mixed with something?

Re: finding "jägermeister orange" color?

Tamiya X-6 looks too light for Jagermeister Orange to me. Although I'm looking at the enamel jar, doubt there is much difference to the acrylic. As mbwoods says above TS-12 is the ideal and easily available solution.

Himbrol 18 enamel looks spot on to me too. I seem to remember I've seen an FS code for it too, but can't find it anymore.

Thumbs up Re: finding "jägermeister orange" color?

Hi, I painted this one back in 1999, using Model Car World Lacquer #2701 Omaha Orange. I hope it can help.

Re: finding "jägermeister orange" color?

Ok, I guess TS-12 is the easy solution then :-)

Thanks for the info

Porsnatic: That's a beutiful Porsche you've built.

BTW: I think Jägermeister livery was raced on 934, 935, 917, 956, and 962 Porsches, but was it used on other porsches too?

Re: finding "jägermeister orange" color?

TS-12 is the easiest solution for sure. Jagermeister sponsorship has been seen on at least 2 911 RSR's (as seen above), 914, 917/20, 934, 935, 935K3, 935K4, Joest 936C, 956, 962C, Gunnar 966 and probably more. I have all but the K4 in by collection. In addition to 2 Fiat Abarth's, 2 VW's, 3 Alfa's, 5 BMW's, 3 Opel's, 2 Camaro's, Ford Escort, Zakspeed Capri, Pantera, NSU, 2 Simca's and finally a Trabant.

22 drops of X-6 Orange + 1 drop of X-7 Red is given on a web site relating to Racing colours. This might provide you with a starting point to match your colour to.Here is the link:
