under bumper guard fell off
I lost chin molding somewhere. Does anyone know if I should find another one somewhere and replace it? Does it really protect the bottom of the car from debris?
thanks, Alex |

chin molding? are you talking about a lip for your front bumper or the splash guard underneath. Either way it isn't that necessary. The splash guard does protect your undercarriage from rocks and water etc. But I ripped mine off on the Civic when I first got it cause it was just hanging there and I never had a problem. It was pretty dirty under there, but no mechanical failures or anything because of it.

Chin spoiler? I'm guessing you have a newer civic. There was either a service bulletin or recall(i think bulletin) for the front chin spoilers coming off. There are updated clips to secure properly. If it's already off you aint losing nothing.
