thinking about buying a used 90 CRX with 133K for 2250--any advice, tips, comments?
I'm looking for a little car that's good on gas. I found a '90 CRX with 133K miles, dude's asking 2250. Sound good? Can these cars take some abuse (hard driving/acceleration/lots of miles)? Thanks for your input.

IMO $2250 wouldn't be bad for a Si with a really nice body and paint - but it's all dinged up and is like a HF, I'd try and talk him down some. Yes, honda's can take some abuse, just make sure you keep up on the maintenance, that's the biggest thing. If you keep up it and are good to it, then it should last you a long time. I've heard of a CRX with over 400,000 miles, but that's not very hard driving either. Maintenance is the BIG thing.

Do you know what model it is and how is the condition of it? If it is an Si and in good condition i'd say thats prolly around a good price...but i'd think about any model lower and/or not in as good of condition should prolly be a lil cheaper maybe. Not exactly sure though.

Don't know much about the car yet--gonna take a look at it tomorrow (Tues 16) so we'll see--already talked him down to 2G. It's a nice looking car--he says it's been well maintained but everyone says that . . .

it really depends on what part of the states your in, i pick crx's up all the time for around 400.00 to 1000.00 depends on the shape and condition, but i know down in florida the same car would run you like 2500.00 so... but if the cars in good shape (not a rust bucket) and the motor looks clean and well mantained i say its probably not a bad deal bro, yo 4g4d mad props on the civic bro.

Hmm I picked up my 91" crx with a b16 engine swap (engine straight from japan and guaranteed under 15k), and hte interior was fine, only thing is the outside had a tiny bit of rust and needs a new paint job, ran me $1500. I'm gettin a kit anyways, all the body is basically comming off :-D
