I wanna paint the emblems on my 4runner, I know how to take them off I just dont know how to prep them, what spray to use and how to re-apply them. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Re: Logo Painting
Hello 4RunnerK, you can remove the emblems using a putty knife or something to gently cut from panel. I take a hack saw blade and grind the edge without teeth to make a sharp knife like edge. Then I cut the emblem of the vehicle. You will need to clean all of the adhesive from the back of the emblem. 3M makes double sided tape you can use to attach the emblems back on. Now, as far as painting; are the emblems plastic or do they have a chrome finish?

they are the chrome finish. Now with the adhesive tape, is the thin stuff or thick?
