Hello,

you could make a rear wheel drive model of it, should get rid of some excess weight, I know it has been done to the Diablo VT Roadster and the Diablo VT 6.0 models, so it should be possible for the Murcielago too.

Other than that, perhaps some 'comfort items' from the interior could be removed, install some carbon fiber seats instead of the heavy leather units ... stuff like that.

I don't think you can remove much weight by replacing body part with carbon units, there aren't many parts with a high weight anyway.

Kind regards

Replace it with one of these. Runs off of pellots which are pretty chaep.

Only thing is you sacrifice a little of the agressive styling. I don't think so... but some have told me.

u take it easy but look murcielago comparing to carrere gt, zonda and enzo. ye sure they cost more but also they weight much less with also great amount of bhp
if u remember diablo gtr, in competition weighted 1100 kg, which was astonishing and around 1500 for the road version.
so according to this, they should also make a new version, but strange they didn't modify they weight in the roadster

I don't know, those hamsters can get rather agressive during mating season, or so i have heard. Wether you want giant hamster in heat on top of your murcilago is another issue

1100 kg for a Diablo is damn light. I'd suggest trying to find out what is easily removable on the car and repalce it with aluminium or Carbon fiber. The body probably weighs a fair bit, and a lot of that electrical technocrap isn't nessecary if you're serious and skilled.

Look at the Mclaren F1, a great deal of it was made of Carbon Fiber composites and aluminium and it still amazes me every time I hear that a road version tips the scales just a tad over 2600 lbs. That's amazingly light, the Murci seems to to be cursed with weight. I'd almost say install a Murci motor in a Gallardo and go from there.
