Honda S2000 AP2
Here's a new project from me. It's a quick commissioned build for a women that lives in my neighborhood. She wants to give it to her boyfriend next month so I have to be quick and putted all other project aside.
They own a very nice Honda S2000 facelift model with a great Deep Burgundy paint. Only 5 of these Honda's in this color are sold in the Netherlands, so it's a pretty rare car. I bought the Tamiya kit and a Hobby Design AP2 transkit. I cutted the original bumpers from the body. And off course the new bumpers didn't fitt.... I hate Hobby Design resin :evil_lol: :evil_lol: :evil_lol: The rearbumper did fit, but the frontbumper was a nightmare. It was way too narrow and it needed to be stretched to fit. I used a saw and made a lot of gaps and filled them with a thicker plasticcard. It did worked but it was a lot of work. After that I glued the bumper in place and I started to make the original bumper spoiler/frontlip with plastic card and Milliput. Kris.

Re: Honda S2000 AP2
Great! This will be a great model, but it's a bummer when a simple car becomes a complex model. I am curious to see how it comes out with the Hobby Design parts.

Re: Honda S2000 AP2
The body was sanded smooth and I painted the body. First a couple layers of primer followed by a few layers of Burgundy. After that I added the metallogos and clearcoated the body with 2K Clear.
I also finished the interior. It's just simple black and I painted the seats and carpet in brown. The window and the carbrioroof are painted black. The chassis was also painted and assembled. I also got new wheels. They are a bit too small in my opinion but I can't find any better wheels that looks like the real wheels. So I'll use them anyway. Kris.

Re: Honda S2000 AP2
Headlights didn't fitt good enough, but after sanding them they fitt much better. After that I completed the body.
Kris.
