fuel system 94 saab 900 2.5

i have a 94 saab 900 2.5 v 6. i had a new fuel pump replaced its still hard to start. some times it starts up on its own but it still takes awile. it broke down on my son and i had to use starting fluid to get it going but when it started it will run till you shut it off. i only used staring fluid once i dont like to use the stuff. could any one tell me where the fuel pump relay is or the fuel shut off switch is ? any help would be great thanks paul

well, i own a 9-3 viggen and my car is also very hard to start. what kind of fuel are you putting in its recomended in a saab that you use no less then 89 octane, because this CAN lead to a weak fuel system, was the fuel pump new or used?

im hot sure about what octane i put in but it cant be no less than 89. it was a new pump. when i try to start it there is no fuel pressure at all to the rails. but if i eather it it starts hard then it stays running till i shut it down. im lost thanks paul

hmm, could be lots of things... if your any good with cars, clean the injectors... then oil change, mobil one synthetic or any synthetic oil, works much better car will run awsome (after it starts)

does anyone know where the fuel pump relay or the emergecy fuel shut off is in a 1994 saab 2.5 fuel injected none turbo is? thanks paul
