They dont drift, they slide. Theres a difference. With my 1/10 Schumacher I am drifting, full 30-45degree turns, non stop, shifting weight, power transfers, perfect drifts.

Xmods slide around...they arent continual drifts, there is not enought weight, nor power. I speak from experience. I had friends that had them, they had the AWD "upgrade" and the tape, and they slid, not drifted.

And yes, Xmods are just plastic piles of dung.

XMOD up and downs

ups--price, Several engines, tuneable, losts of parts available, RADIO SHACK STANDS BUY THE PRODUCT IF ITS DEFECTIVE , THEY GIVE YOU A NEW ONE. you install al the parts so you learn a little bit

downs-- slow compared to other mini rcs, break easily if you ride it HARD

RS4 ups and downs

ups- nice bodies, quick, tuneable

downs- price, bodies break and fold like paper , break easily if you ride it HARD

for the money a XMOD is decent FOR THE MONEY 50$

now if yo have some coin to spend then the rs 4 150-200$

some have had bad experiences with both i know i have bad experiences with BOTH

....if you get the xmod it wont hurt you or your pocket if you slam it into somthing or break somthing

but if you get the rs4 and you happen to mess it up some how then it may get ugly

i have both the xmod and rs4 both are nice for just messing around the house or drive way

best bet is just get what you can afford

Angry

Everyone is going to come at me but, seriously i own an xmod with atomic mods super stock motor.

well right to the get-go, if you buy Xmods, buy the all-wheel drive and the drift kit, yes drift kit, they are basiclly $10 and are special wheels and tires that will make you really drift better than RS4 or what ever the name is.

Check it out at, http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...5Fid=60%2D8538

Now I understand why they say crack is bad for you...it makes you come up with non logical reveries.

Re: DRIFTING XMOD OR Micro rs4

I made mine drift without changing the engine. All i did was repaint it and put little funnels or sumthin so it could direct air flow when it drifts or turns.

Re: DRIFTING XMOD OR Micro rs4

1: it's not called an engine.
2: it's called a motor
3: it's obvious you don't need to upgrade anything but AWD to drift in an xmod

to previous posters:
4: it's not sliding unless you slide in straight lines.
5: it's drifting. i've been able to drift around a course with track dots. soon to start on slick rcp
6: if they are too light, then why does the mini-z AWD drift? it's even lighter than the xmod.
7: all hobby grade rc's are always going to be better than xmods.
8: my 1:10 drifts just fine with nothing but pipe tires. don't need anything much to drift. that said,
9: 1:10 drifters have a slower dynamic reaction to to its larger wheelbase. small scale 1:28th's like xmods, mini-z's and iwavers have much more instantaneous reactions because their wheelbase is so short, meaning it takes more skill to drift at 1:28th than 1:10 because your inputs have to be more timely to get a nicely controlled drift.
