Cable or Hydraulic Clutch on 97 Accord EX?
I dont know much about the accords but my friend has a 97 Accord EX and he was wondering if you can tighten the clutch. He says the clutch has too much play and it's hard to get it into gear sometimes. Can anyone help me out? I feel dumb.:o

well if it has a lot of play then its prolly on the verge of going out. when you say it doesn't go into gear? 1. do you mean like first or reverse, or 2. when you're going down the road and shift gears it just revs and doesn't go into gear? cause if its 2 then the clutch has about anywhere from a day to a week left.

do ANY of you accord owners know whether your car is cable or hydraulic? I was just wondering and if so...is it adjustable? the clutch is kinda loose. The car only has 38K on it so it cant be the clutch.

the clutch is hydraulic. check the clutch fluid reservoir... it may be running dry if he's having a hard time shifting.
unless he's a retard, the clutch shouldnt be dying at only 38k miles. |
