Cold Air Intake

Would it be beneficial to put a cold air intake on my 07 Fusion 4cyl? I am new at this.... I have a friend who put one on his Fusion. I do like the way it makes it sound! Any suggestions will be appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Cold Air Intake

It would be beneficial to have a CAI put on your car, but to actually be able to tell the big difference it makes you should also get a performance exhaust. Not that you won't tell the difference with just the intake, but it's always better with a good exhaust system. Since the CAI is suckin in more air it has to have more room to exit. Magnaflow makes a performance cat-back exhaust for about $420. I would definitely check it out if your lookin for more performance.

You'll improve gas mileage(when you can light foot it)--more HP/TQ. See Steeda.com and jonses--they have Fusion power parts----might visit fordfusionclub.com lot of tech stuff on that forum.

Thumbs up Re: Cold Air Intake

As someone who has installed several cold air intakes, I can honestly say that you can feel the difference after installing an intake. Power increases and you get better gas mileage (because you're engine doesn't have to work as hard to get up to speed). I would strongly recommend getting a cold air intake for your Fusion.

Check out www.performancecoldairintakes.com

Let us know how the cold air intake improves your Fusion. I'm curious to see if there is more of a benefit on a 4 cylinder or a v6.
