325 Engine Probs (resubmitted)
Hi Peeps,
I've just got hold of a 325 BMW... I can drive it for 2 hours non stop i.e. from Bournemouth to London, and it will be fine. As soon as I switch the engine off, and go to fire it back up 10mins later, the sod will not start..... it just keeps turning over and over.... and I have to wait till its cooled right down before she will fire up again, then she will be ok for along drive.... its so bizzare Any Ideas Peeps? Its on a K Plate.... 3 door, 2.5 straight 6... ermm I dont know what exact model...
Ive found the problem, its was the BMW Immobiliser on it. Since Ive removed it, its been fine. Has anybody else had problems with these immobilisers??? |

Seems strange that the immobilizer would cause a non-starting fault only when the engine is hot! Usually when something like that fails it occurs all the time hot and cold, unless it is a sensor that is faulty.
By the way, 'K Plate' probably dosn't mean alot to most people who live outside of England! You might get further if you just say what year it is. Rossco 1996 E36 320i |
