Some help on low budget mods.
Hi everyone,
I am a 16 yr. old from Minneapolis. And I am very new to cars and racing, but I would like to get into it. I just bought a 96 integra. It is basically stock with a CAI and its chopped 2-3 inches. I dont plan to do much aesthetic work on it other than rims. After the rims are on, Im going all for performance. Right now I only have about 350$, but ill have a job soon. I think the non-vtec teg comes stock with 140hp. Is it possible to get it up to the 160-170 range on 350$? If not what mods are best to start out with? I plan to drop about 1500 total on the car. Everyones opinion is apreciated. |

$1500 won't get you real far. But one thing I suggest is cams, the B18B comes alive with a set of cams, I mean it is a feels like a whole different motor. I have a set of crower 62404's they make a great improvement, and the whole set up will cost about $650 and then i would get an catback and a 4-1 header. You will be seeing around 150-165whp out of that.
