Check engine light code PO411
I have a 2008 Canyon 5 cyclinder 4wheel drive crewcab. It has a check engine light that when the code is read on it is PO 411 which translates to mean Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow. Went to Auto Zone and the things they said to check was open fuse to check fuses, circuit relay defective, check connector and wiring, and air pump defective or hoses blocked. Checked fuses still have to work on checking other stuff. Anyone tell me how I can check relays when I take them out and which ones to look at closely. Also any other ideas or anyone had the same problem that might help out. Thanks Fiseman

Re: Check engine light code PO411
Secondary Air injection system error!
1) Check fuse for air pump. 2) Check the bypass valve. |

Re: Check engine light code PO411
I would think it's near the pump.
It could be a bad gasket, or bad valve. Just like an air compressor, if there's no dryer, condensation can contaminate the valve and cause problems. Isn't this truck still under warrenty? |

Re: Check engine light code PO411
Truck is not under warrenty has 50,000 miles on it. This is something I've never fooled with. I know were pump is but is this in a hose or something. I tryed to buy a Haynes book yesterday but all they had only went up to a 2006. How can I check it when I find it. I did notice the other day the check engine light went back off but the next day came back on. Wife said gas mileage has went down. Thanks for the help. fiserman

Re: Check engine light code PO411
See http://www.alldata.com , Hanes and Chiltons is for basic old school teaching.
Follow hoses from the pump to the engine! If this Air pump is for Emissions, the warranty might be good for 8yr/80k miles. |
