Re: 1/4 mile times

ya and sorry but i find it hard to believe that your 2005 with just a k&n setup and no spare is just as good as a supercharged Z24...hey jayson..looks like you could have saved yourself alot of money...all you needed to do was remove your spare come track day

Re: 1/4 mile times

Coablt SS S/C's arent all that fast. Ive seen them run, not to impressed really. Last time i was at the track an Ion Redline was there, its best was 15.0. And just to let everyone here know, its been confirmed, THERE IS NO BREAK IN PERIOD for the 2.0 Ecotec Supercharged. The engine doesnt limit the RPMS or boost. Thats just something the dealers started to say because alot of people said the cars felt sluggish when test driving them.

My 2004 5 speed cavalier ran a 15.284@90.xxmph with a AEM CAI, lightweight pulley, and borla muffler. It also ran a 15.287 to back it up. But I usually run pretty consistant 15.4's and 15.5's

I don't know. I never took it to the track when it was stock. I'm going back out to the track for the first time this year today. I want to see if I can still pull times like before. (different engine) (long story).

Since last time at the track I have added a bored TB, custom port matched intake manifold, and a stiffer lower motor mount. But I think the clutch is starting to show that I have been racing this car alot. It used to spin the tires alot more when shifting. I think it's starting to get worn out. we'll see tonight!

What does a completely stock 2003+ Cavalier/Sunfire with a 5 spd run? How about automatic?

Re: 1/4 mile times

It can take me hours to get home from my buddies house 1/4 mile away. So my time is 3600 seconds or more.

i have a stock 98 z24, 2.4L auto. and my best was 16.2, only thing really done to it is flowmaster exhaust ,i was planing to put a turbo kit in it, but i heard not to, because i'd lock up the motor, is that really true? or is it the Lbs your running it at? i'd rather upgrade other stuff then puting a turbo in it.

Re: 1/4 mile times

I ran a 16.1 @ 78degrees with my 03 4dr LS Sport Sedan.
- Cold-air Intake
- Cat-back exhaust.
