Re-iNVisioned '32 Roadster

Hi boys and girls, thought I'd share a new build that we're started!

A good friend and long time supporter has asked me to design and build him a custom roadster - from the ground up. He loves the simplicity of the traditional '32 Ford styling, but also wants a more ‘road race’ feel incorporated into the body style. Basically, when he's out cruising with his granddaughter, he doesn't want to pull up to another '32 Ford at a red light.

Some photos of the build!

If you wish to see more I invite you to 'visit our shop' and follow the build on facebook.

We specialize in all steel Customs and Hod Rods! So, if you have a project that you’re dreaming about building or need help with one already underway, let’s talk!

Cheers!
Nick

Re: Re-iNVisioned '32 Roadster

Looking more like a roadster!

Here the rear 1/4's are being fitted to the finished B Pillars.

Hood and doors are next.

Re: Re-iNVisioned '32 Roadster

Hi everyone!

Here's a little update on the roadster build.

The body is in the final stages of assembly and fabrication. The door skins have been fitted to their respective inner structures and the gaps are being fit.

Taillights still need to be installed...

Chassis takes shape!

Re: Re-iNVisioned '32 Roadster

Here's an update on the iNVision Roadster build! Getting close to the end...

Buckets welded up and metal finished...taillights installed!

The door skins have been set and final metal finishing has taken place on areas between the body and doors for a consistent 3/16"(heavy) gap. To achieve this gap a spacing tool was created and is slid along the seams as they're being adjusted.

Moving forward with the interior... mocking up the tunnel and dash.

Body also gets a 'turn' to finish the underside.

Reassembled the body's exterior panels, setting gaps and touching up some details. When everything has been addressed the car will be blown apart for primer, surface enhancer and finally paint.

Blocking out the roadster's body...most of the highbuild will end up on the floor. We're in the home stretch!

New seats arrived last week. And while they fit the roadster's floor well, we discovered that the tunnel cover would need to be narrowed up a bit. Will probably fab a new one rather than modify the existing.

An overall view of the roadster with the new seats. The owner has the option to remove the head rests if he wishes to.

Thanks for checking out the progress.
