gurgling noise coming from gearbox and when i put the clutch in it dissappears also when i take it for test drive i have no power

Hi, i have put another engine in my 1984 mitsi l200 ute, and put my gearbox on the new motor, but there is a gurgling noise coming from gearbox and when i put the clutch in it dissappears? also when i take it for test drive i have no power when i put my foot down, it will drive along at about 30km hr alright, put my foot down and nothing just stays the same?? any help would be appreciated.
