Water Temperature Sensor location on 4.6?

I have a faulty Water Temperature Sensor (guage jumps to red hot, then immediately drops to normal) on my 01 Range Rover. I would like to replace the sensor, but need to know where to locate it on the engine. How easy is this to replace? Thanks.

How sure are you that the sensor is bad? I think I read in one of the other forums that it could be a faulty connection (ground/earth, etc.)

Access is easy. It's at the front left (viewed from driver's seat) of the engine - the sensor with the single wire coming out of it - next to the EFI temp sensor.

If my car was here I'd look and tell you the wire colour.
