They are available at hobbyeasy for 192EUR, which is a fair price!

SMP24 is a very small garage 1-man crew from Japan. Takashi Nishimura is his name, and he does very cool, fully-detailed models of obscure subjects, mostly Italian. Ferraris, Alfas, Maseratis, Lancias, Lamborghinis.

I have several of his kits, they are not perfect, but very cool subjects that nobody else does.

I don't have my own pictures, but here is the contents, minus decals and photoetch:

Here a SMPmodel build. Good level of details but very average casting, bad fitting and the usual problems with all similar resin kits (like windows, wheeles positions, etc, etc...).

You can found also a WIP on our Greek Forum:

Hope it helps.
Cheers
George

You think so? IMO the casting quality is very good, at least on the 308 GT4 I got. No bubbles or holes, sharp edges, almost no mold lines...
Concerning quality and details, I'd say the kit is on a Fujimi level (not Tamiya of course).

I can't really judge the general fitting yet, and of course it's resin, which makes it a lot harder to correct and assemble.
And I found it's impossible to use masking tape, despite thoroughly washing the parts and cleaning them with a sanding sponge, as even primer just won't stick well to the surface.

Re: Recent purchases - what did you get lately for your stash?

Seems like a nice little kit maker of the kind that really enriches the hobby, but as usually we have to be carefull as sometimes the quality is alwafull ( FPM for example). Thanks for the replys!

Yeah, I couldn't resist. Received it beginning of March.
Speciale Aperta and AAC815 have to wait.
It's so nice to have a stash again.

This is my collection of SMP24. Ferrari 308 GT4 is on the way from Keystone Models.

Good news that they improved the quality. My jarama was so bad. Some details are almost melted. Here some sample photos:

By the way, the PE parts are awesome.

Airfix is making new great models for plane lovers as I am. This little cutie is a masterpiece.
