ALLANTE BOSE AMPLIFIER - 15 dollars FIX
I just bought 1989 A^. Only one speakeramp working. I have researched the issue and it takes $15 to fix all four of them.
It is the capacitors in the amplifiers. I replaced all the caps on all 4 of my amps. Most likely it was only the 1st cap on the board that gets hit, and it was a 16volt 10mf cap. Since I had it apart I just replaced them all, and used premium 24v caps. If you do replace the caps be carefull, as there is a pos. and neg. side of the leads and they need to be positioned the same. The caps look like small little cans on the board. You can also send it out to an electric shop once you have the amps out ($100-150 per amp). Go to: http://www.caspeed.com/ and see article on c4 bose amps. Also go to: http://ojas.net/nsx/bose for more detail. For radio receiver FIX/DIAGNOSTICS send it to Doctor Dons, Huntsville, TX, phone 936-435 1811 |
