my ignition is acting up when I try to start the car

My car is 2000 Toyota Solara, At first I can't turn the key at all. If I wait a few seconds it will turn one more click. Another few seconds and it goes all the way to the right but nothing happens. Around the 4th or 5th try it starts up. Don't think I can let this go on for too much longer before it plain doesn't start. Replaced the battery a few weeks ago so I know it's not that. It happens almost every time I start the car.
if i want to solve it by myself does the tool Autel MaxiDAS DS708 can help me??
Thanks you in advance

Re: my ignition is acting up when I try to start the car

The DS708, like other scan tools, has a good datastream capability which will let you monitor fuel rail pressure. That's about the extent of where a scan tool will help with the symptoms you describe.

I have a DS708 and love it. It wasn't inexpensive, but it offers much better features for the price than it's current competitors. And Autel is getting better with their tech support.

I've been warned though not to purchase the DS708 from Chinese, non-approved vendors as they often do not have the legitimate software that will allow access to the Autel updates.
