2002 325i with 87 Octane?
Does anyone know if I can put the cheap gas (87 octane) in my 2002 325i, or do I have to use Supreme (92 Octane) like the owners manual says. As long as I don't hear any pinging, isn't it ok to cheap out?
Thanks |

dont you dare
dont do it, youll rob your car of power... on top of that, the ecu in your car is mapped for the engine running on 92... while its not gonna really do any harm, have some respect for your car... its a bmw, if you wanna cheap out, get a different car... treat the car well

BMW's have pretty good mileage so don't worry too much. I'm running a 84 318i and 88 325i both on premium(93 octane) and the mileage is pretty good still. andyours is brand new so your mileage will be really good.
dont' be screw over your engine like dat.
