Tranny conversion

i've got a '99 sunfire gt and it's an a/t i was wondering how much it would cost or if i even should to convert it to a m/t

anywhere between couple hundred and a couple thousands.... gotta shop around. Welding is required and go F23 getrag 5 speed... stay away from isuzu

Not really. You can use the 6 speed from the Cobalt SS, but there's a clearance issue with the P/S rack so you'd have to convert to manual steering or swap in the electric assist from a cobalt. Way too much work, just stick with the F23.

Cobalt SS (F35) is too wide to even fit.
