New rider here.....

Well, to be honest i've got the bug and really want to get a bike. Anyone got any ideas about where to start?
My dad has a Bandit 600 that he wants to change for a Cruiser so my parents can go away for holidays, i was thinking of maybe buying the Bandit from my dad.
Do you think its too powerful for a first bike?

If you have some riding experience, the bandit is a good bike. It has plenty of power but it is reasonable. As long as you respect it, you will be OK.

^ My sentiments exactly.

I'd give my right arm and leg to get on a 2000+ Bandit 600s, but then I wouldn't be able to ride it... :silly2:

Anyhoo, any bike is a piece of machinery capable of reaching some serious speeds and offering very little in the protection department. Take it easy. Even if you have riding experience, I completely endorse taking a MSF safety program. I really learned a lot from it.
