gauges not working
i have a 1989 kingcab V6 that has had computer problems and ever since i had it the fuel gauge and temp. gauge have never worked. the only way i know i'm running out of gas is cause my gas light comes on. the scary part is the temperature i cant tell if im over heating. anyone ever encounter this problem? now i did change the temp sender unit that seats next to the carburator to no success. the gas i havent bother with.

Hi there , I have the exact same problem on a 91 pick up I just bought . Did u Have any luck in fixing this ? I am told it may be a faulty voltage regulator on this circuit but I dont know where it is or what it looks like .I had the dash apart and could not find it. any info would be appreciated. thanx

Re: gauges not working
its a silver or black little box that sits on the inside part of the dash cluster is attached to the dashboad right behind the top off the steering problem u might have seen it but overlooked it.

Re: gauges not working
I have a 95 and mine just started it today, except everything on the dash stopped worked. I have to tach, mph, gas, temp, CE light nothing works. You think the voltage regulator could effect the whole thing?

Re: gauges not working
I found out that mine had a blown fuse, so I replaced it and it worked for about a mile then everything went out again. I am now going to pull apart the dash and see if I see anything shorting out.
