Rear Shock Replacement
I was wondering if anyone could help me with the location of the upper rear shock nut? 2004 Maxima SE. I removed the trunk panels and cannot access. Do I have to remove rear deck or seats? I sure hope not! Please help as I am trying to do this in the next day or so while I have time off.
Any other insider info regarding rear shock and front strut replacement would be greatly appreciated. Using KYB components. |

Re: Rear Shock Replacement
well, i didn't have to worry about the top bolt/nut after all. It all comes out after removing the lower bolt and the two upper bolts inside the wheel well. Pretty easy, took only an hour and most of that was jacking the car up and removing the wheels. Any advice re the front struts would be appreciated.

Re: Rear Shock Replacement
Even easier, just remove the 3 strut bolts under the hood & the 2 spindle bolts (may need to heat these bolts) I saturated them with wd40 the night before and used an impact socket to take them off. Took about an hour.
