1993 GMC Suburban 350 mechanical oil gauge help!
Hello. I am wanting to install a mechanical oil pressure gauge on my suburban. It has the 350 TBI.
Were do I hook the tubing up to? I have never installed a mechanical gauge like this before. I know that the oil sending unit is right below the distributor but wasnt sure if thats were I need to hook it up to? Any help would be grateful. I have not purchased the oil guage yet, so any opinion on that would be great too. I just got this suburban from a guy that completely went through the entire powertrain and more. New long block 350 around 8k ago Tow/RV cam from crower High flow/pressure oil pump cold air intake performance fuel injection B&M shift kit no cat straight pipe to a 40 series flowmaster dual outlet Over sized tranny cooler Over sized(or 1 quart bigger torque converter) Tranny was all redone all new front end parts tie rods ball joints etc new gear ratio's front and back New powersteering pump New alternator Performance water pump 3/4 ton springs upgraded leveling kit installed on front end ECU reprogrammed shift points no speed governor etc.. Topped at 147 on the Dyno and pulled right at 300hp and almost 400ft lb torque Only thing left to do is change the A/c over to R124a and charge it.. and needs some fresh paint in some places Thanks for any help on the mechanical guage. My guage is bad in the gauge cluster in truck. Thanks |
