Dan when I asked about your cutting tools I meant for complex shapes, not for the springs. So I re-try: how do you cut complex shapes from a brass sheet, may you show your tools? ciao and best wishes for the new year!

Hi Dan, Your model is glorious! I did my apprenticeship with Rolls Royce and have been in engineering all my working life. I like to think I'm a good engineer but am wondering where an 'advertising man' gets the sort of skills you seem to have aquired? Your work is beautiful & I love the fact that you've chosen to make the body from ally sheet, more difficult to work with than some materials but just like the real thing.

Thank you Lee, but believe me, the work of the aluminum is not nearly as hard as you might think! Annealing, of course, is a pleasure ... Stamping, more:   In situ:     I like the result of surface treatment of the rods. Brass and brown liquid ... No paint, I love!   Dan. |

A SUPERB work and craftmanship, the fine and meticulous work in metal is wonderful, the front end and chassis are by themself a work of art even at this early stage of the model construction and fabrication....again superb!!!!!!!!
