Re: do you care about fwd or rwd or awd?

i would much rather have rwd for what kind of driving i do. i never go off-road and i never really like driving my car in the snow. plus, i think that you can have a lot more fun in a rwd car.

Re: do you care about fwd or rwd or awd?

My top choice drivetrain would be a rear-wheel drive based AWD, from infiniti's g35x. Seems like a perfect balance, great traction and launch as well as taking corners like a RWD car.

For everyday use it's gotta be either fwd or awd. In winters here, rwd cars just can't manage to pull themself up the hills or anything. They just get stuck and spin, then get embarrased when they have to ask someone with an awd or fwd to help them. But on track or for racing; rwd or awd!

Re: do you care about fwd or rwd or awd?

i currently have a FWD and a 4WD. the 4WD is safer in a way, you can take corners at speed where the FWD's nose would be sliding already (although tyres have a lot to do with it). Wouldnt mind a high-powered RWD for a bit of fun..but give me front or 4 for everyday driving anyday

Cool

Having had both quick FWD and RWD cars, I recently bought my first AWD - A baby Jag. It handles rain, snow, and ice with no problem. With the power biased to the rear under normal conditions, it handles like a RWD sports car. I used to miss the old muscle cars until I bought this thing.

Re: do you care about fwd or rwd or awd?

I haven't had the experiance of driving, im only 15, and dont know the difference in feel but for canada, awd would probably be the best in terms of safety, but if you have a muscle car and make it fwd you should be shot, there's nothing like seeing a charger doing a burnout

how can you compare the eclipse to those awd monsters?
because of the tremendous potential, and how very easy it is for it to be and awd monster

Re: do you care about fwd or rwd or awd?

well what would be the point of making a muscle car FWD? why would someone do such a terrible thing?! maybe if you said some crazy bastard in some crazy place wanted to make an AWD muscle car I might think 'yeah, probably' but FWD?! most people with muscle cars are into racing. and FWD isn't exactly a prime candidate for a race car. i'm not saying FWD cars can't race...i'm just saying..people with muscle cars aren't going to swap their RWD for FWD and stick a 4 banger in place of their V8 monster. unless they're in some sort of third world country. then it's believable. those people will do anything.

Re: do you care about fwd or rwd or awd?

'most people with muscle cars drag race' hmm...well apparently we both call that racing. eh? let's not start a 'omgz drag racing isn't racing' thread. if you define the word 'racing' it means 'the sport of engaging in competitions of speed' and...drag racing fits that description. and besides if it wasn't racing...whys it called 'drag racing'? and beef bourito was talking about muscle cars. and yeah i'm highly aware of what a DSM can do.
