Condensation in turn signal lense
I noticed today that my right front passenger side turn signal lense has a bit of condensation in it.. but my drivers side doesnt. I've had them for almost a year (aftermarket lenses) and I dont know why all of a sudden I'd get condensation in one of them. whats the best solution to remove it and keep it from fogging up again? thanks.

Re: Condensation in turn signal lense
you will have to remove your signal light assembly and better seal the seams.
just use some silicon from some hardware store and apply some on the seams i hear GE Silicon works good. edit: i forgot it was about your turnsignals - info modified Last edited by AlbanyCartel; 04-07-2006 at 06:41 PM. |

Re: Condensation in turn signal lense
So I have to put the turn signal lense inside an oven to break the seal? And then apply silicone and re-seal it again?

Re: Condensation in turn signal lense
that would be the best way to do it,
in addition to silicon, i heard this is pretty good when it comes to sealing automotive lighting applications: its an OEM nissan butyl rubber seal for headlights its specifically designed for headlights so it should have no problem holding up to extreme temps and other variables. even though it is made for nissans, and for headlights, but it will work with any car and and any lighting fixture. i do not want to plug another site, but for the sake of proper information, and me being tired: http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/view...=nissan+rubber all the info you would need |
