03 Ram 3.7 interesting problem
2003 ram 1500 2wd reg cab short bed. 80,000 miles .the truck came to me would not start and fuel was running from the tailpipe. the only codes p0320 and p0725 which means a crankshaft sensor problem. it also had a really bad vacuum leak in a line under the cab.
after replacing the sensor and the vacuum line and alowing the truck to sit over night, it fired right up ran for a while then died and would back fire and again fuel was running from the exhaust. when it dies the fuel pump does not shut off and the injectors and relay are clicking like crazy. I tested the fuel pressure and sometime it will hold at 48 psi and some times it will start dropping with in a minute. I pulled the injector and leak tested the the redneck method. no leaks. I can only think it must be an ecu issue? could a bad crank sensor cause this
