Re: Spy Video of the 2008 Nissan GT-R
Cause, I love the R34 and miss it dearly.
And I've never driven it... I'm not a huge fan of the new GT-R look... I may warm up to it eventually.

Re: Spy Video of the 2008 Nissan GT-R
it's.... a g35 fused with a boxter....
i kinda hoped for more myself. The power's there definately, but where's the retro skyline look?

Re: Spy Video of the 2008 Nissan GT-R
I think this GT-R is going to be awesome. Its lines look much better, and it been called a porsche 911 competitor.

Re: Spy Video of the 2008 Nissan GT-R
These days Porshce is really on top of their game... it's going to be hard to compete with them, since they've been doing it for so long.
That new 997 Porsche Turbo, and soon to be Porsche Turbo S... are killer cars. Of course, competition is good... if the GT-R is as good as they hope it'll be, then it'll force Porsche to step up their game... and there's nothing wrong with a better Porsche.

Re: Spy Video of the 2008 Nissan GT-R
thats the problem when u make a car that people have so much love for, anything after it will be kinda dissapointing, the skyline has that problem, and so will a Supra if Toyota ever desides to make it.
But there's still some time left until it comes out, I think Nissan still has something in the works, especially since this test model looks exactlly like the concept they showed at Tokyo in 2005. For some reason I dont think its done quite yet, although it very well could be. Plus they made a great Z after the Z32 300, so maybe this'll work out too.

Re: Spy Video of the 2008 Nissan GT-R
yeah, definitly. nissan is not a backwards thinking company.
everymodel will be an evolution of every suceeding model. if it wasn't done that way, and it looked like a kited out R34, then whats the point of making a "new" model? i think the concept looks gorgeous and blows the R34 out of the water in looks. it has alot of interesting design details and the rear quarter panel is crazy and reminds me of a F17 stealth fighter diamond shape. the R34 by comparision looks like a refridgerator and even more brutish. when you see the new GTR all around you can instantly tell it a "new" gtr. can't wait for it to come out.
