fastest and cheapest 400m car challenge
not a big fan of the camaro... but with it i was able to achieve 12.121 for only 41,530 including the car (minus tires, of course)
EDIT: sorry, forgot to include that it must be a FR car that can be purchased. that should make it a little more interesting so... if we were to count the time as a dollar amount... and make the cost plus time a score, my score is 53651. can anyone do better? i only practiced a few launches, so i'll check back later to see if anyone decides to take my challenge Last edited by out there; 10-18-2004 at 10:29 PM. |

Re: fastest and cheapest 400m car challenge
nope, cost of the car included (hence the cheap z28 i used), otherwise i would've used the fd. 40k not including the car? geez... i had a hard time getting the ss into 10s

Re: fastest and cheapest 400m car challenge
then there isnt one, unless if we try a car that is awarded. I havent tried the z28. the fd can get 11.8 with spending a bit under 40k. Anything new, how about we do that again with any car using a 50k limit not including the car, the car must be purchased at the dealership. Yes or No? more regulations?

Re: fastest and cheapest 400m car challenge
ooh... i like that idea. so... rules
1. car must be FR 2. must purchase car (should impose a price cap) 3. can spend no more than $50k after purchasing car (tires not included) how about that? we could set a limit to eliminate the viper and a couple of other beasts. what do you think? |

Re: fastest and cheapest 400m car challenge
cool, as long as we dont purchase any race cars. By you saying (tires not included) you mean that i can purchase the tires and not count it as part of the 50k. So you try to say free tires, right?

Re: fastest and cheapest 400m car challenge
yeah, tires are free.
i don't think i have a problem with that... what should the spending cap be? 50k for the car and then 50k for go-fast parts? |

Re: fastest and cheapest 400m car challenge
the car must not go over the price of 100k. it can be any type of rear wheel drive car. No more than 50k on mods, with free tires. Those are the rules............I tested a Viper GTS, pretty fast.

Re: fastest and cheapest 400m car challenge
i believe the viper will win, it's the fastest car (in the price range) and i was able to get it into low 10 really easily

Re: fastest and cheapest 400m car challenge
ok... new rules...
1. must be rwd (includes prize cars) 2. no spending limit 3. no more than 300hp (on the "settings" screen) this should make it a real driver/tuner race. what do you think? we could even split into fastest turbo and non-turbo |
