91 SiR guage cluster install Q....anyone done one?

Hey guys,

I' about This :alien2: close to getting a SiR guage cluster.....someone mentioned to me about needing an ESS, electronic speed sensor? and it could be gotten off of a Del Sol VTEC motor. Do you need it for this guage cluster? and where would I find it? where does it go? etc....

thanks!

Re: 91 SiR guage cluster install Q....anyone done one?

you will need one for the SiR cluster, all the VTEC engines use vechile speed as one of the conditions for engaging VTEC, so they use a speed sensor and an electronic Speedo. (which makes them VERY acurate.)
One off a del sol sounds good, it goes in the same place the normal cable drive is located, and you should be able to just swap it for your one with no work. (I think thats why you need the del sol one, so the threads etc match.)
