Cracks in Dash Panel
Hello,
I have two huge cracks in the upper dash panel on my 2000 300M. I tried to find that part to replace it, but wasn't able to. Could anyone tell me what the exact name of this part is and where I can buy it for a reasonable price? Thank you for helping. |

Re: Cracks in Dash Panel
Mad, that's a shame your dashpad has cracked, do you use a sunshade or apply Armor-All? You could possibly go with a dash covering or just replace the pad. I don't know about cheap but perhaps a Chrysler dealer will still have those in stock but an auto "recycler" may be the way to go. Best of luck.

No I don't use a sunshade, but it is to late anyway for this. I have to replace it. The thing with the dash covering is that they are really very ugly and all I could find were made from a carpet.

Mad King, I see what you mean about the dash cover. I'll check around a little more, maybe someone else will let us know something.

Re: Cracks in Dash Panel
There are no "quick and dirty" replacements for the dash. The crack on the right is where the airbag is. The crappy carpet is the only way other than replacing the entire thing from a junkyard. These cars have had quite a few cracked dashboards.

Re: Cracks in Dash Panel
Thank you for your post, but as you see from my orig. post I try to find where I can buy this dash new for a reasonable price. I don't want one from a junk yard because is is prob. cracked too or starting to crack.

Re: Cracks in Dash Panel
You need to check out the junk yard dash. They can send you pix. I have a '99 in immaculate condition and lots of others do too.
