Programming the keyless entry remote

I just purchased a 2000 Chyrsler 300m. Only one key was povided without a remote. The remotes are available online but they require programming either by a dealer or locksmith. I don't have alot of money so I'd like to do it myself. I saw instructions on how to program the keyless entry for my 01 Tahoe. Does anyone know how to program the keyless entry remote for a 2000 300m?

Red face Re: Programming the keyless entry remote

Same thing happened to me I had to have the dealership program it because they have to hook their computer scanner up to it and snc it it took then about 30min to do! I know it sucks, but after that you can program up to 4 fobs with that one! then all you have to do is put the key in the "on" position and press and hold the unlock button and within 10 seconds press and hold the panic button(the car will chime) then you press any button on the new remotes!
hope this helps! I did not want to spend $43 at the dealership either, but I guess they get it out of us one way or another!

Re: Programming the keyless entry remote

I agree, take it to the dealer and it is the only way to do this on Chrysler entry remotes.I just found this out a while ago too,Vetronix's scantool,Mastertech can do it too with a program that is now avaliable programing Chrysler entry remotes and key fobs.

Re: Programming the keyless entry remote

Thanks guys. I'm a little late posting. Took it to the dealer a few months ago. Got a spare key and two keyless for 70 bucks. That was a lot less than what I expected.

You got a good price. I can't believe the stealership didn't stab you for twice that price. Good job!

Re: Programming the keyless entry remote

A shameless plug. You can find the keyless remotes on ebay as well.
