1998 Cad ... nothing happens
At times when going to start our 1998 Caddy you can turn the key and ..... nothing happens, no clicking ... nothing. Everything else works but it is like you are not even turning the key. Is there a weak spot on these cars?
I am familiar with solenoid/starter issues but this seems a bit different for some reason. Thanks |

Re: 1998 Cad ... nothing happens
Have you verified that you are getting voltage to the solenoid when the key is in the start position?

Try disconnecting the battery and waiting several minutes then (make sure the battery is charged while its disconnected) reconnect and if it starts you have a security system issue.
