Broken Steering - Rod snapped

Well I can’t believe what just happened. I’ve completed the front underside of my Impreza WRC, and I let it all dry overnight. OK, in one area I did over glue the area and got overspill, but that will be hidden so wasn’t too fussed. Just pushed the left hand wheel on, and snap..!!

The steering rod has broken clean off.. So now my car has no rod clamped to the front left wheel. Don’t know what to do, as I can’t fix it. The rod shattered into many pieces. This common?

Oh well, my second car will have bits missing, just as my first one did. Still, only the steering will be affected, and that doesn’t really mater, the wheel is held in just fine without it.

It's not like I intend to play with the car like a toy, and I can still steer the wheels, only now one at a time, and not together. Unless there is somewhere you can buy replacment steering rods..

Re: Broken Steering - Rod snapped

Never had one snap, but I imagine it could happen and I bet it is frustrating.

I think I have a spare for an Impreza somewhere on my hobby table, drop me a PM.
