For sale or trade for BMW. A no excuses mint 1963 Austin Mini Cooper. would also take
I am in the market for a BMW. I am looking for a 325/328 or an M3 must be a 2 door coupe with a 5speed, would also take a convert. Here is what I have either for sale or to trade.
1963 Austin mini "cooper replica" w/ Black roof & 1380+ left hand drive. Looking for an immaculate, "no excuses" mini that combines the best of the old, with the best of the new? This recently-built, beautifully done Morris Mini "cooper replica" features a new (1999) body shell, a 1275 "A+" block thats been bored out to a 1380cc, and brakes upgraded to 7.5 Cooper S disc. It has only 3500 miles since all work was completed; basically, every nut, bolt and component on the car was replaced with new. INSIDE: The retro-look interior is new, including the carpets. Seats and door panels are stitched in the classic red and gray combination. For instrumentation it has the classic center pod, including a Cooper S 130mph speedo, but upgraded with white-faced dials. Wood steering wheel and shift knob, and alloy door pulls and window cranks. For increased security, it has a late model, locking steering column that also features the wiper controls on the stalk. Steering wheel is on the left hand side. OUTSIDE: It retains the classic Mk1 taillights and "moustache grill", but has the modern roll-up windows and internal door hinges. Bumpers are fitted with the classic Mk1-type overriders and corner bars. On top, it sports a full length, one touch, electric Webasto sunroof. Grill buttons allow easy removal for accessing the engine. Period rear spotlight. Rear window wiper and defroster. UNDERNEATH: Koni adjustable shock absorbers on all four corners, along with new 6x10 polished minilites with Yokohama A008 performance tires tucked under Wood and Picket wheel arches(flares). UNDER THE HOOD: For less maintenance, the 1380 powerplant sports a single HIF44 SU carb. Exhaust is handled by an LCB system. For extra cooling, it features an oil cooler, a four row heavy-duty radiator and an auxillary fan. The engine was built for reliability and torque. It has the 3:44 final drive, so its very quick but cruises easily at 70-80mph. The car was put together with no expense spared, and its solid and rattle free. Zero rust, no scratches, dings or dents. I am asking $18,000 US dollars and trades will be considered. The car is located in Central California. Email david at davids911sc@hotmail.com for more pics and info on the car or you can call 559 307-2631. Thanks for looking. |
