How do I ensure carburetor fitment?
Im getting a new intake manifold for my 1982 El Camino 3.8L 231cid V6 I know the carb will fit on the manifold but how do I make sure It has all the same vacuum hoses and such? is it Universal? I just don't want to pay $200 for a carburetor that doesn't fit my car. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Edit: Here is the new intake manifold https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Edelb...3L,109368.html |

Re: How do I ensure carburetor fitment?
That manifold is not for a 3.8, how did you pick that out?

Re: How do I ensure carburetor fitment?
The 231 is the Buick V6. The Chevy V6 is a 229 and is compatible with the 4.3. Your Elco should have the Chevy 229, unless it was a "California" model, which did come with the 231. If it is indeed the 231, then that manifold is not compatible.

Re: How do I ensure carburetor fitment?
Looking for carburetors I'm not finding a lot near the 300CFM Ideal for my engine. Is it okay to get something bigger? What are the negative side effects?
