VTEC: "How to"

How to Spell VTEC
(VTAK VTECH VTEQUE)

This write up assumes you have a modern "QWERTY" keyboard and can identify english letters.

The Pictures are Thumbnails, click to make them larger.

The first step is to locate the letter V.
This in in the second row of keys from the bottom, between the C and the B.



After you have located the V you need to press the key down and release it. This is what should be on the screen.

V

If you have that then we can continue, if not press "Backspace" and start again from the begining. The second step is to locate the T key. It is in the top row of letters, just below the numbers. It is between the R and the Y. It is below the numbers 5 and 6.




After you have located the T you need to press the key down and release it. This is what should be on the screen.

VT

If you have that then we can continue, if not press "Backspace" and start again from the begining. The third step is to locate the E key. It is 2 keys to the left of the T between the W and the R. It is beneeth the numbers 3 and 4.



After you have located the V you need to press the key down and release it. This is what should be on the screen.

VTE

If you have that then we can continue, if not press "Backspace" and start again from the begining. The fourth and final step is to locate the C key. It is back in the lowest row of letters, to the left of the V we used in step one. It is between the V and the X and above the left end of the Spacebar.



As in the 3 previous steps, once you have located the C you need to press and release the key. You should have this on the screen.

VTEC

If you have that then you are done, continue on with your post.

At the time, McLaren was racing successfully with Honda engines, and it seemed logical to approach Honda for an engine meeting Murray's requirements. But the Japanese declined, feeling that they could not spare the capacity to develop such a project.
