What's the fastest you've gone?

I've gone 125.......mind you that doesn't sound that fast. But it was on a narrow 2 lane dangerous interstate highway (all you California residents, I am talking about highway 46) and it was late at night......pretty fun stuff, but I don't know if I would try it again.

The fastest I have driven is at the clock limit in my old toyota corolla - 180km/h. I think thats 112MPH. Whoopee.:bandit:

Just thought I would share my best car experience in a BMW. The owner of the company I work for bought a BMW Z8 about 3 months ago! All's I have to say is HOLY $HIT! I begged him, and one day he let me drive it! And the same saying comes to mind HOLY $HIT!!! That was clearly the fastest car I have ever driven. It was crazy, the acceleration, the handling, the braking! in the words of Ferris Bueler, "That ride is choice, if you have the means, I highly suggest you pick one up!"

I've hit 120 in my Escort on a very slight downhill on the highway with the stock engine no upgrades yet.... I usually crawl along that stretch at 100-110 on a very regular bases its a very slow highway with never any cops on it located by my house so theres no immediate danger....:finger:

new top speed!! 161mph...done at 1 am on I-12 from New Orleans to Memphis I went up there for thanksgiving, and was driving late one night so I figured, what the hell. Oh, by the way, street racer, I raced an M5 on a very twisty road in Memphis...we went about the same speed through the curves (I didn't know the road at all, so I wasn't really pushing it), but got by him on one of the straights. Also managed to find a Boxster, modded IS-300, and various assorted ricers. Overall, it was a pretty fun thanksgiving

vary vary close to 170 MPH

The fastest my car has done was vary vary close to 170 MPH we est due to the speedo toping out at 150. I didn't drive it my crazy ass friend did. We where at El Merage Dry lake bead doing the photo shoot for SCC Magazine and after we where done he took it for a Top Speed run in the pitch black of night. He drove about 1 mile turned around and followed his tracked back. It was crazy to watch he only took about 1/2 mile to get going that fast. Red Lined it in 5th at 8000 RPM no where to shift to..

I remember racing a ZR-1 just after I got my engine rebuilt. at 12 PSI and a Cam sprickets off a tooth 10 deg advanced out of wack I just bairly beat him by about 1/2 car lenth from 0 to about 90 MPH.
That was a fun street race. I thought I would get smoked.

Fastest i ever went was about 265km/hour, that's about 145mph in
my '82 Pontiac stock.

The only reason i stopped is cuz the road started to curve and i feared a slide.

I cant tell u for sure cause my speedo doesn't go that high. It only goes to 85 . My guess though would be around 100-105. I need to find someone to pace with and to see what she can do in 4th at that speed, but my guess is gonna be nothing at all. damn drag of the 89 bodies .

I could have sworn I posted in this thread. Well, the fastest I've gone is about 140mph in one of the older Acura Legends. The big sedan ones. This was about a few years ago. 93-95 or more to be exact. I think those were the years. The car was brand new from this girl I was seeing. She let me drive it for the weekend and I was on the highway when I did this.
