Yeah. but he's also getting his ingnition timing reworked as well. As in, tuned for optimum performance. Besides, a few lbs of boost can make a big difference.

I got a question to the picture poster here: How close of a look did you get of that 996, if you saw it at all?

That car is clearly not a true 996 rather a replica, probably using real body panels and perhaps the chassis and a few other mechanical compononets. With the modifcations done to it anyways, the car would have to be almost completely taken apart.

My point is, that isn't a real 996, it's also debadged, and 99.9% of real 996's aren't debadged, ANYBODY knows what a porsche looks like, so debadging is useless.

In case you don't think that Porsche does sells body parts and such, they do. A RUF car is not a true porsche and is registered as being a RUF not aporsche, So I'm assuming it was doen the same way through a different company though.

Don't feel bad, I'm pretty sure no real 996 had to suffer those mods.

Yeah, it's a body kit. I'm not a huge fan of the 911, I prefer the 924/944/968s, so I can't pick a replica out... What makes it a replica aside from the badging? They could have just left off the crest and badges when they put on the body kit.

I would rather have a stock Skyline than a riced 911(if such a thing is possible). Then again, the choice of a 968 CS makes all the difference

Seeing as people like to display their wealth, debadging a 911 even after a body kit wouldn't be something commonly done. If it was removed form the original, I have no idea why, but seeing as it is debadged, it's probably for legal reasons, indicating the car is not really a Porsche.

super spec V i doubt that launching your car at 6 grand will get you any faster. i've tried that many times with my S14 and all i get is wheel spin. sooo its better to just launch it at 2.5 to 3 thousand since both of our cars got more torque then horsepower. just make sure it don't bog cause thats the hardest thing about gettin a light but quick launch.

ahh but youre forgetting, myself and super spec v can launch at whatever rpm we want and not get any wheelspin.

Ah the beauty of AWD, constantly having to tweak your suspension so you don't understeer

I must confess, they Aerostar I will get as a shop vehicle is AWD, but it is not going to be made for cornering very hard(relative statement). Come on, can you think of anything much more entertaining than a Ford minivan blowing the doors off of a Viper/Z06/996TT at a stoplight?
It has 4 liter V6, with distributorless digital ignition, and a MAF SEFI setup. Add a boost controller and a pair of turbos, put it on a diet, out come the back seats and interior rear of the front seats... 3200lbs, AWD, 500 hp...

New car in the poll! Who votes for a 968 16 valve turbo instead?

I do! First Vote!

968 Turbo - 1 vote
