2006 crv weird engine/heater noise

i have an 06 crv with 150k miles on it (2.4 auto) When i turn the heater fan on, a weird noise begins. When i turn the heater fan off it always goes away instantly.
When i rev the engine the noise gets louder and faster and is coming from near the front of the engine with the hood lifted. The second i shut the heater fan off, the sound quits. This cannot be the heater fan as there is no way it could be located way up front by the radiator. Its kind of a grinding clicking sound. It does come and go and get louder at times..other times it just quits on its own. Not sure how else to describe it? All fluids are up.

It may be occurring as your compressor kicks in.

Set selector to "floor" and see if the noise still occurs.

Edit: Sorry did not 2nd post.
