Adding A Second Battery In A '99?

Wanted to know how hard and how to add a second battery in a '99 Surburban 4x2.

the batteries should be the same,,and both new...the batteries will need fuses to protect the wires from melt down.. the wires lug connections need to be crimped and soldered with heat shrink to protect joints from shorting out..installing a switch is a good idea so that should you go camping etc the second battery can be cut out and then cut back in if the primary battery is to low to crank....

normally this setup is used when high power electrical equiptment is needed...transmitters/plow pumps/audio noise makers..
